1From a read-only look at the FieldRoutes account on 2026-11-02 and its official manuals. Each line ends with its evidence: Observed in the account, Documented in a manual, or not tested. Capture numbers link to the screen below. All of FieldRoutes across the 20 blocks
In FieldRoutes, this block covers the people who work for the company and the rules around them. That means staff user accounts (Office Staff, Technicians, Sales Reps), skills and licenses, sales teams and office departments, roles and permissions (Access Control Profiles and two-factor login), the time clock, commissions and deductions, staff location reports and technician performance reports. Project-x has no separate users/permissions, time-tracking or payroll block yet. So this page also holds staff users, roles and permissions, time clock and compensation. The research looked at the account as an admin, read only. It covers the Users directory and Add New User dialog, all eight tabs of one existing User Card, the full permission matrix (200 labeled checkboxes), Skills, Teams/Departments, all three commission setups, time clock categories and weekly rules, the Time Clock and its report, location reports, and Technician Stats. This page has 89 screenshots: 52 placed here and 37 from other blocks that also matter here. Nothing was saved, reset, clocked, uploaded or paid out. The text on this page leaves out staff names, contacts and addresses; the screenshots are raw internal captures and do show staff directory data, so keep them internal.
Each capture is a saved screen state from the FieldRoutes account on 2026-11-02. A screen shows what controls exist; it does not prove what happens when they are used.

Compares how long each technician spends at a stop, grouped by technician and by the appointment's planned duration. Columns: office, tech ID, tech name, number of stops, appointment duration, average reported time on site and its difference, average actual time on site and its difference. The page explains that reported time is entered by the tech (and can be adjusted in the app) while actual time comes from check-in/check-out, and lists reasons they can differ. Filters are date, office, employees and Advanced Filters (not opened); the table shows no data for the captured day.

Calculates employee commissions. A Profile picker selects sales, service or schedule commission; other controls are date range, an 'As of' date (whether invoices or subscriptions count as qualified or paid, and deductions recorded by that date), a tier start date (how far back revenue is summed to pick the commission tier set on the employee card), employee type and Advanced Filters (not opened). Buttons are Refresh, Export to Excel and Record Payments, which would record commission payouts and was not pressed. The result area is blank.

Ties customer cancellations to the technician who serviced them. Filters: cancellation date range, service date range and office, with Refresh and Export to CSV. It shows 'Total services resulting in a cancel: 0' and empty Tech Cancel Rates and Cancels sections.

Shows payments collected by technicians at appointments. Filters: start/end date, include $0 collected, exclude initial appointments, and include $0 invoice or customer balances, with Refresh and Export to CSV. Only the Appointment Breakdown heading shows; no figures.

Ties re-service visits (call-backs) to the technician whose earlier service caused them. Filters: start/end date, months of historic data (default 3) and office, with Refresh and Export to CSV. It shows 'Total services resulting in a reservice: 0' and empty Tech Re-service Rates and Re-services sections.

Shows where staff are, based on location data reported from the field. A 'Last Known Location' list offers all employees, all sales reps or all technicians, and a 'Location History' list has one entry per employee (56 entries). It has a date range, Refresh and a Google map with map/satellite, fullscreen and Street View controls. No markers or tracks are visible.

The last-known-location map with 'All Employees' selected, with the same date range, Refresh and map controls. The map renders but shows no employee markers for the captured day.

The last-known-location map with 'All Sales Reps' selected, same controls as the other location views. No markers are visible for the captured day.

The last-known-location map with 'All Technicians' selected, same controls as the other location views. No markers are visible for the captured day.

The location-history view for one employee (a demo technician record), meant to show where that person went over the chosen dates. Same date range, Refresh and map controls; no track is drawn for the captured day. Here the Location History list shows only 4 employees, against 56 on the Location Reports landing page.

Technician performance scorecard. Controls: date range (default last month), a Key Indicator (about 27 options, such as appointments serviced or scheduled, no-shows, payments collected, star reviews, re-services and cancellations caused by the tech), Stats to Include (about 39 metrics), months of historic data (default 3) used for re-service and cancellation percentages, a star-review filter (number of stars, default 5) and office. It has saved-report presets, Refresh, Export To CSV, Show Report Table and Clear Filters. Results had not loaded yet; see 494-495.

The Technician Stats page after Show Report Table was pressed. The same filters remain, but no table or results appear. Capture 495 shows the loaded table.

Central list of all staff accounts. Filters by account status (active, inactive, all), account type (Office Staff, Technicians, Sales Reps) and commission profile (sales, service, scheduling, combined and staged sales/charge-back profiles). Columns show access profile, last login, active state and type next to identity fields; Merge Users and Add Signature buttons are visible but were not used. No separate users/permissions block exists, so staff administration sits under Technicians.

Blank form for creating a staff account: first and last name, phone, email, username and account type (Office Staff, Technician, Sales Rep), with Save, Cancel and close. No password, access profile or invitation option appears in this dialog. Nothing was saved; the deeper fields live on the existing User Card tabs (captures 548-555).

Page that keeps two separate groupings: Sales Teams and Office Departments, each with its own + New button and a 'Please select or add a new team' prompt. A leftover Business Contacts help popup partly covers the page. Capture 365 replaces it with a clear view.

Catalog of technician skills with visibility and scope filters, search and + Skill. Skills link staff capabilities to the services they may perform.

Form with skill description, scope, visibility, the service types and add-ons that need this skill, and a 'Utilize in Scheduling' checkbox (checked). Not saved; scheduling enforcement not tested.

List of shared staff permission profiles (roles), with defaults for Office Staff, Technician and Sales Rep. The help text says a change to a profile affects every user attached to it; reserved default profiles allow permission edits but cannot be renamed or removed. No separate users/permissions block exists, so it sits under Technicians.

Full permission editor: description, scope, notes, default-for and grouped checkboxes with Toggle On/Off for Admin, Scheduling, Users, Tasks & Alerts, Transactions, Account, Subscriptions, Sales, Leads, Billing, Pricing, Reports (with View vs Edit/Actions per financial report), QuickBooks, web dashboard widgets, Area Management, mobile app and mobile dashboard widgets. Some permissions are marked as possibly chargeable. Nothing toggled or saved.

Catalog of deduction categories that can be subtracted from staff commission, with scope and visibility filters and search. The add button is labelled '+ PaymentType'.

Form with required description, scope and visibility. Not saved.

List of commission calculation rule sets for staff pay (types Subscription, Subscription Charge Back and Invoice), with scope and visibility filters and search.

Rule set for paying commission on sold subscriptions: date basis (sold, initial service, initial payment), pay-on basis (contract value, initial service amount, qualified revenue or paid), who is paid, deduction types, contract-value length and optional rules (payment and service thresholds, cancellations, coupons, secondary/tertiary splits, retroactive rates, service-type or plan rates). Not saved.

Rule set for taking commission back when a customer cancels: date basis defaults to cancellation date, with cancellation threshold and maximum paid/service count rules. Not saved; no charge-back calculated.

Rule set for commission on invoices: date basis (service/invoice date or payment date), pay on invoice amount, production value or amount paid, payees (sales rep, secondary/tertiary rep, team leader, technician, scheduler) and options for stand-alone work, contracted work, zero-value invoices, coupons, splits and paid-in-full requirements. Not saved.

List of reusable commission rate sets that are assigned to employees, with scope and visibility filters and search.

Form with description, scope, visibility, assigned employees and a + Commission Rate area for tiered rates. Not saved.

One rate line: rate type (sales, service, schedule, secondary/tertiary sales, team lead), percentage or flat amount, value, start/end dates, calculation profile, tier by quantity or amount with start/end bounds, and service type/plan restrictions. Not saved.

Office-level two-factor login policy: enable for this office (currently off), require for office staff, technicians or sales reps, and a re-verification snooze period; group controls are disabled while the office setting is off. Tooltips mention a 7-day setup period and support in the new mobile app only. Viewed only; nothing changed.

Catalog of staff time categories (paid and unpaid activities) with visibility, scope, paid and System filters and search.

Form with description, scope, visibility, paid or unpaid, 'allow clock in' directly from clocked out and 'block access' to customers and appointments while in this category. Not saved.

Rule that allows or requires switching to a chosen category after a number of minutes, with an 'enforce full duration' option, e.g. a break that must last its full time. Not saved.

Weekly clock policy for each day Sunday-Saturday: allowed clock-in start and end, maximum paid and unpaid hours, block-day checkbox, plus a daily reset time. Current values are full day and 24 hours. Not changed.

Two lists for organizing staff: Sales Teams with + New Team and Office Departments with + New Department. Both are empty and the page prompts 'Please Select or Add a New Team.' This clear capture replaces the partly covered capture 125.

Name-only dialog to create an office department: Department Name, Save, Cancel and close. The dialog title is clipped; capture 547 shows the complete dialog. No department was saved.

The workforce time clock where staff clock in and out. It shows filters (date, employees, employee type, status, team), and per-employee rows with elapsed time, a Clock In button and a work category set to Working. Nobody was clocked in or out; staff photos show broken placeholders.

The report of staff hours for payroll. Filters: date, employees, employee type, status, team and office; actions Refresh Report, Export to Excel and Export to ADP (payroll). No report rows are rendered and nothing was exported.

Adds overtime thresholds (weekly overtime, daily overtime, double time) and ADP export fields (company code, batch ID, file number, Hours 3 code for double time), plus saved-report controls. No report rows are rendered; no export was made.

One of the 19 data-quality checks in the Audit report, selected on its own: it lists employee images saved (the count unit reads 'Appointments', so the exact meaning is unclear). The panel shows 0 appointments for customers entered on the captured day, so no result table or columns appear. It shares the Audit date range, Refresh and Export to CSV; nothing was corrected or exported.

Technician Stats revisited before refreshing. The filters are visible: saved-report presets (User or Office scope, Global disabled; default flag), date, key indicator, stats to include, months of data (3), a star-review comparison (less than, equal, more than, between) and number of stars (5), and office. No results are shown yet.

Despite the file name, this shows no table: it is the filter area only, captured before the report loaded. Capture 495 shows the actual table.

Technician Stats after Refresh, in card view: an office header with the date range, a roster of technician cards with selected metrics and daily averages, and a Technician Service Chart grouped by day, week or month. Employee photos show as broken images. The lower part of the primary image is cut off; the two supplements show the rest.

Technician Stats as a table (the toggle now reads 'Show Baseball Cards'). Three technician rows with sortable columns: productive appointments scheduled and serviced, productive completion %, star reviews and star review %, re-services caused by tech and re-service %, and customer cancels caused by tech and customer cancellation %. The formulas behind these figures are not shown.

Name-only dialog with its full title: Department Name, Save, Cancel and close. Cancel was used; no department, membership, manager or permission is shown.

Main record of a staff user: name, nickname, initials, phone, email, DB Link, Roaming Rep, Recruiter, phone extension, user name, password reset (email/SMS/set), sales/service/schedule commission rates, User Type (office staff, technician, sales rep), Experience, Skills, Supervisor, Regional Manager and login location (anywhere, office IP only, custom). The tab bar shows all eight User Card tabs. Read only; no reset or save was done.

Lists a staff member's applicator licenses: + Add License Number, License Number, linked Skills and a multi-select of States, with remove. One blank row is shown; no license was added and no expiry or regulator check is shown.

Chooses which mobile app push notifications the user receives: Sales Alerts, Filled Spot, Changed Appointments, Team Messages, Admin Messages, and New Purchase (for Buy Online Service). Some are checked; nothing was saved and no notification delivery was tested.

Per-user permissions: an access profile selector (Custom Profile selected) and about 200 permission checkboxes grouped by area (admin, scheduling, users, tasks, transactions, accounts, subscriptions, sales, leads, billing, pricing, reports, dashboard widgets, area management, mobile). Some administrator rights are locked with a warning that you cannot revoke them from yourself. Read only; nothing was changed.

Employee photo upload (Choose File) and an Employee Signature 'Sign Below' area with Clear and its own Save, separate from customer agreement signatures. Nothing was uploaded or signed.

Sets the technician's own route Start Location and End Location (address, ZIP, city, state), each with a map. Office Info says these can override the office's default route start/end. This description leaves out the address values; the screenshot itself shows them (internal staff data). Nothing was saved and no routing was run.

Lists commission rates assigned to the user, with filters for rate Type (sales, service, schedule, secondary/tertiary sales, team lead), start/end dates, commission Profile and Search, a + Rate button and Type/Pay Type/Value/Start/End/Profile columns. No rate rows exist for this user and + Rate was not opened.

Records pay deductions for the user: Description, Date, Type (no types configured), Amount (0.00), Notes and an Add button above an empty list. Nothing was added; the Edit User dialog was cancelled afterwards.

Create a staff user (Observed form, not submitted). Admin > Users > + User opens Add New User: First Name, Last Name, Phone, Email, Username and Account Type (Office Staff selected by default). The dialog has Cancel, Save and close. It shows no password, no access-profile selector and no invitation option. Requiredness, uniqueness and invitation behavior are unverified. The deeper fields appear only on an existing user's User Card. 123-admin-new-user
Maintain a user (Observed, nothing saved). The User Card holds eight tabs. Each tab covers a different concern, and Cancel / Save / close act on the whole card.
The tester canceled Edit User after the last tab. The final metadata shows no open dialog and no Customer Card checkout. 548-owned-user-card, 555-owned-user-deductions
Assign permissions (Observed UI, Documented rule, untested).
No permission was toggled and no second role was tested. 203-access-control-profile-editor, 551-owned-user-access-control
Two-factor login (Observed settings, Documented manual, untested). The steps are layered:
The group controls are disabled while the office setting is off. The tooltips say:
The manual says enrollment uses a smartphone authenticator, administering 2FA needs a dedicated permission ("Edit Two-Factor Settings"), and a configurable snooze reduces repeat prompts. One manual passage about disabling 2FA for an individual wrongly describes an all-user scope. So disable precedence and recovery need clarification. Enrollment, enforcement, reset and recovery were not tested. 222-office-two-factor-settings-editor
Login restrictions (Observed setting, untested). The User Card offers three Login location options: "Allow login from anywhere" (selected), an office-IP requirement for office-only login, and a custom location. Office Info's contact editor separately stores an office IP. Whether the restriction actually applies was not tested. Separately, a "Session has Expired" dialog appeared after 60 minutes without activity. That is a global behavior; see FieldRoutes hub.
Compensation setup (Observed setup, no calculation).
The User Card also carries Sales / Service / Schedule Commission Rate inputs on the Information tab, a Commission Rates tab and a Deductions tab. Service Types and Service Plans carry their own Service / Sales / Schedule Commission %. Office Preferences has "Base Commission On Serv. Type" and "Deductions On Employee Card". The precedence between these sources is not shown anywhere. The Commission report has three dates:
It also has a "Record Payments" button, which records payouts and was not pressed. Custom schedules always use one year for contract-value calculation (Observed tooltip). 209-commission-profile-editor, 073-report-commission
Time clock (Observed setup and screens, no clock action).
No clock-in, transition, block, export or payroll run happened. Time zones and reset boundaries, exception approval, edit history and urgent customer access during a block are unverified. 381-clock-dock, 382-time-clock-report
Skills and scheduling (Observed setup, Documented rule, untested).
No assignment was made. So the documented warnings and Fill Routes exclusions were not seen in the account, and it is still unknown whether a manual booking with a skill mismatch is blocked or only warned. 176-settings-skill-form, 557-recommended-routes-clear
