From a read-only look at the FieldRoutes account on 2026-11-02 and its official manuals. Each line ends with its evidence: Observed in the account, Documented in a manual, or not tested. Capture numbers link to the screen below. All of FieldRoutes across the 20 blocks
Scheduling in FieldRoutes turns due work into dated appointments. Subscriptions carry the service cadence and produce due services. The Job Pool lists due services that have no future appointment. Office users book a visit from the Customer Card or from a Job Pool row through Recommended Routes, or let routing tools place it. Route Templates set the capacity as time spots, and dictionaries record why a visit was canceled, rescheduled, re-serviced or skipped. The research covered 89 screenshots here. They show the October and November calendar (many October days carry route and service counts), one opened day (October 16) with two routes, the Job Pool, Recommended Routes, Service Plan Management, the customer's appointments and subscription settings, the Admin setup pages, reminder settings, trigger rules and the scheduling reports. Read-only: no appointment was booked, moved, canceled or completed. The temporary scheduling context was canceled each time.
Each capture is a saved screen state from the FieldRoutes account on 2026-11-02. A screen shows what controls exist; it does not prove what happens when they are used.

The Appointments tab lists the customer's visits by service type, date and status, with links to a Service Notification Report and History. This test customer shows four Initial Service visits in October 2026, all Canceled. No appointment was opened here; a populated pending visit is shown in captures 447-448.

Clicking Schedule on a customer puts the office user into a 'Currently Scheduling' mode for that customer and opens Recommended Routes, which suggests technician route-days for the visit. Filters are Sort by Closest/Soonest, Include Full Routes / Only Non-Filled, technicians, groups, Max Miles (30), a date range and Match by Tech Skills; results would list date, tech, average distance, closest stop, capacity and square/linear-foot totals. The result table is empty and no appointment was booked; capture 557 is the later full view of the same dialog.

The month calendar is the scheduler's starting point: each day shows the number of Routes, a Serv count (services completed of scheduled) and a Sold count, with month navigation arrows. In this November view every day shows zero, which reflects that month's data, not a missing feature; capture 514 shows a populated October.

The Job Pool is the queue of due services that do not yet have a future appointment, so the office can find and schedule due work. This view shows the basic criteria (special requests, pre-planned, one-time services, flexible scheduling, Due Between dates, follow-up dates, potential customers, pending cancels, property type, balance and age limits, geography) and the result-size cap. The results table is not populated in this screenshot; 032 and 556 show loaded rows.

Expands the Job Pool to all advanced criteria: production value range, include/exclude service types, bundles, service plans, add-ons, customer and subscription flags, preferred technician, preferred day, region, measurement (square/linear feet), service category and skills, plus 'Account For Wait After'. The loaded table lists 29 due-service rows with account, location, balance, production value, flags, preferred tech, service, due date and signed day count; rows are due services, not unique customers. Later capture 556 shows 34 rows and the far-right columns; the difference was not reconciled.

This screen tracks service-plan rounds and cycles for customers on a plan: plan, round, cycle start/end, round status and range, due date, completed and skipped rounds, subscription status and balance. It offers include/exclude plan filters, Refresh, Export to CSV and bulk actions Close Service Plan Cycles and Skip Rounds. The result for the selected day is empty and no cycle or round action was opened.

Meant to summarise completed, scheduled, unscheduled and overdue services. This capture shows only the heading with a blank body; captures 484 and 485 show the loaded report.

Shows how due services were handled in a date range: customers due, customers completed, pending cancellation, rescheduled services, pending appointments, cancelled appointments and services with no appointment. All counts are zero for the captured day; it has Refresh and Export to CSV.

Blank form with required Skip Reason, office scope and Hidden/Visible; System shows No. Save/cancel present; nothing was saved.

The Appointments tab for the populated customer lists two General Service visits (mid-October 2026), both Pending, with links to Service Notification Report and History.

A monthly workload summary: cards for completed, scheduled, unscheduled, overdue and total services, plus a collapsed per-office row. Filters: include/exclude service types, office and technician, with Advanced Filters and Refresh. The summary shows figures; the office row was not expanded.

Monthly Services with Advanced Filters open. Each category has its own date window: completed appointments due between, future scheduled appointments due between, unscheduled subscriptions due between and overdue subscriptions due between. It also has filter by appointment date or due date, and an as-of date. The summary cards remain visible.

The month calendar for October with populated days showing route counts, services completed of scheduled (e.g. 1/2) and sold counts per day. It confirms that the empty November view in 030 is just that month's data.

The day schedule shows routes as cards: here two routes with no technician assigned, one appointment each (one completed, one pending), planned hours, a Distance Score with no stated unit and a route value. The header has Add Routes, Job Pool, Reminders, Day Map, Optimize, Print and Multi-Day Planner; time slots offer Schedule Fixed Appointment, and route groups can be edited. No schedule changes were made.

The Job Pool with basic filters loaded 34 due-service rows (an earlier 032 snapshot had 29; not reconciled). Columns cover account, location, balance, production value, flags, preferred tech, region, service, bundle, plan, skills, due date, signed day count, unit of measure and measurement. Controls include result cap, multi-row selection (not for multi-unit properties), Search, Actions and Show/Hide Columns.

Opening a due service from the Job Pool starts a 'Currently Scheduling' context and shows Recommended Routes, which suggests existing routes for the visit: sort by closest or soonest, include full or only non-filled routes, technician and group filters, max miles (30), date range, match by tech skills and Refresh. Result columns are date, tech, average distance, closest to, capacity and measurement totals; the table is empty. The dialog was closed and nothing booked.

Reports and dashboard
1. A subscription produces due work (observed settings, documented lifecycle). The Service Type sets the default Appointment Frequency (as needed, one time, day-based intervals, annual or custom schedule), Default Appointment Length, Default Followup Delay, Season Start / End and Alternate Service Days (540-service-type-editor-clear). Each subscription inherits editable defaults (Documented, Service Type manual). It holds its own Service Frequency, Duration, Call Ahead, Seasonal, Initial Followup, Custom Date, Routing Region and Preferred Tech / Day / Time (437-existing-subscription-detail). The subscription timeline shows a Scheduled marker and Upcoming dates (439-existing-subscription-lower). Search-visible API descriptions say a subscription-linked appointment can inherit defaults and affect the next due date on completion. This is partial schema evidence only (source checks).
2. Due work enters the Job Pool (documented). The manual says due work without a future appointment enters the pool, scheduling removes it until completion, and a missed appointment returns the next day. Special Scheduling customers need manual scheduling. Filters control pre-planned jobs, follow-ups, account balance and age, and wait-after handling. Skill mismatches raise warnings. None of this lifecycle was tested (manual findings). In the account the pool showed 29 rows in 032-job-pool-advanced and 34 rows in 556-job-pool-columns-clear, both with Due Between 05/02/2026 to 11/12/2026. The extra five rows in the later capture are all due 2025-01-01, before that window; the other 29 due dates match. Why those five appear only in the later capture is unexplained.
3. An office user books a visit (observed up to the dialog). The Customer Card Schedule button, or the play button on a Job Pool row, opens the Currently Scheduling context and Recommended Routes. The user sorts by Closest or Soonest, includes full routes or only non-filled ones, filters technicians and groups, sets Max Miles (30 shown) and a date range (Nov 2-12 shown), keeps Match by Tech Skills checked and clicks Refresh. The results would list Date, Tech, Avg. Distance, Closest To, Capacity, Sub SF, Total SF, Sub LF, Total LF. The results were empty, and the dialog and context were closed without booking (029-customer-schedule, 557-recommended-routes-clear). The Day view also offers Schedule Fixed Appointment on half-hour time slots (515-routing-populated-day). The manual documents placing the visit from recommendations or by drag/drop. The 2021 vendor guide describes Map View Schedule, which combines the job pool with a map for selection, drawing and drag/drop (Documented, not tested).
4. Bulk placement (documented, routing block). Fill Routes schedules due work around existing appointments. Visual Grouping, Intelligent Routing and Assign Planned Routes group, plan and then assign. Per manual, the Fill Routes button is charged when selected, even if canceled. Runs are capped at 2,000 appointments, routes cannot cross time zones, and missing geocodes, skills or restrictive windows can exclude work. Re-optimizing unassigned work in Intelligent Routing can delay due dates. The Service Type manual cautions that scheduling many future appointments restricts routing flexibility. Details are on Routing.
5. Service Plan rounds (configured, documented). A plan has ordered rounds with a Service Abbreviation (the Name field, required), service type, start/end month-day, Wait After, dependency on another round, Max delay for late joiners, charge, discount and subtotal. Tooltips: a round's start date cannot change after customers subscribe; wait and dependency can be overridden manually; Max delay lets late joiners get a round for a bounded time after its end (138-settings-service-plan-round). The manual says late enrollment auto-skips past rounds for that year and a missed round can still be scheduled manually. The Job Pool shows the round start as the due date, and wait-after warnings appear when scheduling, not in the listing. Service and billing schedules are separate. Service Plan Management lists rounds and cycles and offers Close Service Plan Cycles and Skip Rounds; neither was opened (033-service-plan-management).
6. Changes to a visit (configured, untested). Edit and Cancel sit on the appointment (448-customer-appointment-detail). Cancel/No Show, Reschedule, Reservice and Skip reasons are separate dictionaries. Cancel/No Show also picks the reason type. How a reason is required or reported was not tested (149-settings-appointment-cancel-reason-form, 154-settings-reschedule-reason-form, 156-settings-reservice-reason-form, 347-skip-reason-editor). Rules that cancel or stop future visits:
Lock Confirmed Appointments and route locks restrict edits. Expand Reschedule Events tracks day, technician and time-window changes (219-office-routing-options-editor).
7. Reminders before the visit (configured, nothing sent). The Service Type sets Send Reminders and Custom Reminder Text (max 1200 characters). Custom Reminder Calls wrap generated date, time and address speech between uploaded MP3 intro and outro recordings (540-service-type-editor-clear). Customer Communication has the SMS Appointment Reminder Template (max 1600 characters, 286-communication-section-5-editor), the auto reply to a YES confirmation (blank falls back to a default, 287-communication-section-6-editor) and the Email Appointment Reminder Template (291-communication-section-10-editor). A Reminders trigger fires a number of days before or on check-in (239-trigger-reminders). The Day view Reminders dialog shows per-appointment SMS, Email and Voice status. The one pending visit showed SMS Undeliverable, Email/Voice Off and status Turned Off. Send Reminders was not used, and an SMS registration warning is shown (518-day-reminder-controls). Reminder Responses lists customer replies (090-report-reminder-responses). Message content belongs to Customer messages and marketing.
8. Automation (configured, not run).
9. Monitoring the schedule (observed screens, vendor definitions). The calendar shows per-day Routes, Serv and Sold counts. On October 16 it showed two routes, Serv 1/2 and Sold 0, matching one completed and one pending visit on two No Tech Assigned routes (514-routing-october-calendar, 515-routing-populated-day). Monthly Services, Pushed Services, Forecast, Completion % and the Audit checks report on due and scheduled work (see Settings and controls).
